Allrecipes.com has been a huge source of inspiration for me lately. There are so many recipes listed that you could search for days and still not have seen them all! Thankfully I didn't have to search for days to find this gem, however!
I'm pretty sure this recipe has become one of my favorite easy, go-to slow cooker meals. It's super simple, uses pantry staple ingredients, and tastes absolutely incredible. This is one of those slow cooker meals that emits a delightful smell which envelops your entire kitchen and forces tummies to rumble in anticipation. It has absolutely gone on our "favorite meals" master list I've been compiling for the past few months! Hopefully it will become one of your favorites too :)
- 4 chicken thighs (I went with three)
- 1/3 cup soy sauce (I cut down on the soy sauce to help reduce some saltiness)
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/3 cup honey
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1 tsp dried basil
Directions
In a medium size bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, ketchup, honey, garlic, and basil. (I forgot the basil and added it straight into the slow cooker. Oops!)
Open your chicken thighs and spread them out inside the bottom of the slow cooker.
Pour your sauce mixture over the chicken, making sure it is completely covered.
Cook on low for about five to six hours (closer to six if you're doing more chicken than I did).
Serve with some veggies and potatoes or rice and enjoy!
